How we select
We look for useful pet products with thoughtful design and evidence of demand. Design assessment is editorial judgement; seller claims are attributed, not treated as audited sales.
Two gates before a trend-qualified pick
- Design: score utility, usability, materials and construction, visual coherence, and care/fit clarity from 0–2 each. Require at least 7/10 and no unresolved safety concern. Explain the judgement.
- Rising demand: compare like-for-like periods in one stated market. Require either search interest up at least 20% (last four complete weeks vs previous eight, same Google Trends series; previous mean at least 10), or measured marketplace rank improvement/unit-sales growth over two dated observations. Store the source, dates, region and calculation.
Official best-seller collections or seller-reported sales can qualify a baseline shortlist, but never establish growth by themselves. Small or missing samples remain on the watchlist.
Every week
Screen new candidates; revisit existing shop links, availability and evidence; compare demand with prior observations; archive unsupported picks; add assets with source and reuse status; update the dated catalogue and sitemap. Keep a change log. A page date changes only after an actual review.
Buying and independence
Buy through the linked seller. Confirm delivery, taxes, warranty, returns and fit there. Optional sourcing is a separate service. The initial shortlist has no paid placements or affiliate links. Any future paid placement or affiliate relationship must be disclosed next to the link.
Images gathered for research remain internal references unless reuse rights are confirmed. This screen is desk research, not a hands-on product test.
